Mark Wholey (guitar, vocals), is a jazz trained guitartist who's played throughout New England and New York City. Wholey studied in the Jazz Studies Program at the University of Massachusetts with Archie Shepp, Billy Taylor, Yuseff Lateef, Eliane Elias, and Mark Eli, as well as studying at the Jazz Collective in New York City.
Wholey has over 20 years of experience in the music industry as a performer, teacher, disc jockey, radio program director, label employee and distribution executive.
In 2000, Mark recorded and released Short Changed, with blues-rockers Hangin' With Shorty. Available as CD at right, and also available for [Digtial Download/Streaming] at E-music and through iTunes.
As well as being a regular performng artist, Wholey has a strong belief in independent music, and he hopes to encourage and promote jazz artists and their careers to the next level.
